User Manual - Phonepad

This page explains how to use the phonepad function in X10Receiver.NET v2. The Phonepad worls just like the keypad on your mobile phone - except for it does not have a T9 software, which means, that you will have to press e.g. the number 2 three times to get a C. The phonepad function will also work if the characters are not imprinted on your remote (you will have to know them by heart then).

All pictures are available in German only - but the buttons are in the same place and our texts contain the English descriptions. We apologize for that.

Note

Please note that the function will only be available in the mode, that you added it to. You can switch to another mode in the "Modes" tab. Choose the general mode to make the function work at any time (independent of the active mode).

Add the Function

Key Assignments in Phonepad Mode

Press the key that you specified in the next to last step above. The phonepad function will be activated and your remote is configured as follows:

  • 0: Space, then: 0 _ / \ ' ´ ` ^ § $ % # ° < > |
  • 1: . , - ? ! \ " @ : ; * 1
  • 2: abc ä 2 ²
  • 3: def 3 ³
  • 4: ghi 4
  • 5: jkl 5
  • 6: mno ö 6
  • 7: pqrs ß 7
  • 8: tuv ü 8
  • 9: wxyz 9
  • Arrow keys: Navigate in the text
  • Delete, Back, Clear, Cancel: Deletes one character
  • OK, Enter: Presses the enter key
  • Star, Pound (#), Info, Rename, Snapshot, ChannelSearch: Changes the mode of capitalization
  • Power: Deactivates the phonepad function
